Halloween Decor for the Outdoors

Good morning!

Today is my first official day off because I'm no longer working at my job of the past two and a half years! Call it a casualty of my education, but after August, September and a bit of October working part time on two days a week my boss must have lost control at the office (between me and the two part time interns) - too many hands in the pot? Anyway, after I called out three days in a row in the last two weeks for midterms he told me things weren't working anymore. I immediately said okay and that was it, I will not apologize for putting my education first, I needed those days to focus on my midterms and that's what matters most. I really don't appreciate the attitude and lack of understanding that I got after almost three years of being an excellent legal secretary (doing the work of a paralegal) and going above and beyond normal job duties in many other ways due to his handicap, but hey - that's life. Anyway, you should know that I'm not sad, quite the contrary... I'm overjoyed and liberated! Do you know how many days I sat miserably in that office because my spirit felt literally smothered? Because I knew I wasn't doing what I love and I was not fulfilling my passions! Too many days! But thanks to you my readers, because I got through all those days by blogging and focusing on growing Inspire Bohemia!

So what now you ask? I'm looking for a job at Florida International University to compliment my degrees in Sociology and Women's Studies. Until then let's just say I have more time to blog and do little projects (hence this sudden resurgence of posting following my college midterm hiatus) - I have the whole day to myself! It's better this way, believe me, I've been practically drowning in all the reading I've been doing and I have a another test at the end of this week as well as another paper in two weeks, so it's just as well.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, here is some great Halloween decor for your doorstep, patio, porch, front lawn, etc. Halloween is Monday and it's never too late to decorate with a bit of creativity! Speaking of which, yesterday after my classes I stopped at the dollar store and found everything I needed to make an awesome Halloween wreath, similar to one of the wreaths in my post from yesterday, stay tuned for the how-to and finished product soon! Also, last night I gathered all fall like decor (such as owls, pumpkins, etc) that I could find in my mom's house (either out on display or stashed away) to create a Fall/Thanksgiving vignette on her buffet in the dining room, it looks awesome! I'll have to share pictures of that just as soon as I snap'em.

Enjoy this post, there are some really unique ideas for dressing up your door front this Halloween!
